AdBlock is one of the most popular ad blockers worldwide with more than 60 million users on Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge as well as Android. Use AdBlock to block all ads and pop ups. AdBlock can also be used to help protect your privacy by blocking trackers. AdBlock blocks ads on Facebook, YouTube, and all other websites. Download it for free now!

The open-source software we create is designed to give users control over what they see in their web browser. It also gives users the ability to have control over their privacy by blocking many of the tools that advertisers and technology companies use to track people when they are online.

We believe that publishers should be able to monetize their content via advertising. Some of our favorite content is made possible with ads, and many of our users actively allow ads from creators they like using features available in AdBlock. Our focus is blocking annoying and intrusive ads. Since 2015, we have participated in the Acceptable Ads program , where publishers agree to ensure their ads meet certain criteria . Ads that are deemed non-intrusive are shown by default to AdBlock users. If you'd like to learn more about how Acceptable Ads works, where the money from this program goes, and more, please visit our Acceptable Ads FAQ.

We are a diverse, fully remote team with employees spread across North America and the globe. Our designers, developers, writers, managers, and more are obsessed with making the Internet a better place. We believe that everyone has a right to surf the web without being bombarded with pop-ups or video ads or being tracked by advertisers everywhere they go.

How to Use Adblock Plus in Private Mode · 2017-11-27 17:47 by Shannon Sewell Bell

Did you know that you can use Adblock Plus in Private mode? You’ve probably switched to private mode in the past and noticed that Adblock Plus wasn’t there. You will first need to activate it for ABP in order to use it there. Follow the steps below to activate Adblock Plus while in private mode.

For Chrome and Opera you will need to make sure you have enabled private or incognito mode in the extensions list. To access the extensions list follow the steps below.

Chrome:
Step 1. Type chrome://extensions into the address bar.
Step 2. Check the box that says “allow in incognito mode” under Adblock Plus in the extensions list.

Opera:
Step 1. Type opera://extensions in the address bar
Step 2. Check the box that says “allow in private mode” under Adblock Plus in the extensions list.

No additional steps are needed for Safari and Firefox, and the extension’s functionality is not affected.

Microsoft Edge: Extensions are grayed, and lose their functionality when private mode is enabled on Edge. We suggest using the alternatives listed above for private browsing.

    What about Firefox?

Since we see that Firefox has broken the work of add-ons, you don’t need to rush to restore functionality for the version of ABP 3.0. The main tools for working with subscriptions are handy lists. And the ABP will again be lapidary.

    Hey bopoh13 :)

I’m reaching out to you because we’d really like to better understand how our users interact with ABP, and what users need from the product. I thought you could be a good fit for that. Let me know if you are fine with helping us out with that and would like to share your email so we can reach out to you. You can email me at rachel@adblockplus.org

    Cheers,

The add-on is supported by over forty filter subscriptions in dozens of languages which automatically configure it for purposes ranging from removing online advertising to blocking all known malware domains

I’ve seen several ad blocking extensions on Google Chrome but I don’t want to block ads normally. I only want to block ads while I’m browsing in incognito mode.
I don’t see any way to limit extensions to incognito mode only. How can I accomplish this?

This is a really fast browser. Surprisingly, It’s not very minimalistic, as one could expect from a fast mobile browser: it has a pretty wide set of features.
